I love For Books’ Sake so much. They’re an organisation that champions writing by women, and their powerhouse founding editor Jane Bradley is rocking the foundations of publishing with regular poetry slams, writing courses, conventions and more.
I was honoured to be featured as their Weekend Read with my short story ‘Cook Your Bloody Heart Out’.
I wanted to write a cross between Bridget Jones and The Ninth Gate. And that is what I have done.
“Head back into the kitchen, and take a grainy photo of the cigarette sticking out of today’s meal for your food blog. #NoFilter.”
